Product bundle

A product bundle allows you to show a group of products as a bundle with different options for displaying them and offer a discount on adding them to the cart.

Note

A product bundle is available for the advanced plan.

Creating product bundle

You can create a new page or update information about a page such as its title, description, products, discounts and banner from the Bundles page.

Add a new page

Note

You can create up to 20 bundles.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Apps, and then choose Codify - Product Bundle from the list.
  2. Go to the Bundles page and click on Product Bundle.
  3. Click Create bundle and Enter the details given below.
    • Name: the bundle's name. This will not be displayed to customers.
    • Title: the title for your bundle that you want to display to the customers.
    • Subtitle: the subtitle that will be displayed below the title.
    • Display bundle in: a selection of a page where a bundle needs to be displayed. whether it is a product page or cart page.
    • Display bundle for: this option is available if you select product page from the Display bundle in section. This has two options.
      1. Specific products: a selection of products for which a bundle needs to be displayed
      2. Specific collections: a selection of collections for which a bundle needs to be displayed in all products of the selected collections
    • Display bundle: this option is available if you select cart page from the Display bundle in section. This has three options.
      1. Always in cart: option to display a bundle always in the cart page without any condition.
      2. If specific products in cart: option to display a bundle in the cart page only if selected products are added to the cart.
      3. If the cart is empty: option to display a bundle in the cart page only if the cart is empty.
    • Bundle products: the products that you want to display as a bundle. You can add up to 6 products to the bundle.
    • Discount: this has two options.
      1. Type: a type of discount, whether it is fixed or percentage.
      2. Value: a discounted value, whether it will be a percentage or a fixed amount based on the selection of type.
    • Design layout: a layout of a bundle, whether it is horizontal or vertical. You can see a preview of both layouts on the right side of the options.
    • Bundle status: by default, a status will be Active. If you change a status to Draft, a bundle will not be displayed and a discount will not be applied.
    • Additional class: a class that you want to add to the parent element of a bundle for any development purpose.
  4. Click Save.

Edit a bundle

After you've created a bundle, you can edit it to change a discount, products, and any other details.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Apps, and then choose Codify - Product Bundle from the list.
  2. Go to the Bundles page, click on Product Bundle, and click the name of the bundle that you want to change.
  3. Modify bundle details.
  4. Click Save.

Delete a bundle

If you no longer want to display a bundle, you can delete it. If you delete a bundle, it's permanently removed from the application. Deleted bundle can't be restored.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Apps, and then choose Codify - Product Bundle from the list.
  2. Go to the Bundles page and click on Product Bundle.
  3. In the list, click the remove button on the right side in the same row as the bundle that you want to delete.
  4. Click Delete.

Add a bundle widget to the page

After you’ve created a bundle, you can add it to the product page and cart page.

Steps:

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes.
  2. In the first section, click on the Customize.
  3. To add a widget to the product page, open a product template from the dropdown at the top center.
  4. To add a widget to the cart page, open a cart template from the dropdown at the top center.
  5. If you want to add a widget as a separate section, click on the Add section at the bottom of the left sidebar.
  6. If you want to add a widget as a block in any section, click on the Add block at the end of that section from the left sidebar.
  7. Select Product Bundle, which is listed under the Apps.
  8. Optional: set the maximum width and adjust the top-bottom and left-right spacing of the bundle for desktop and mobile.
  9. Click on Save.

Customising settings

You can customise the design and content of a bundle. These changes will be applied to all product bundles.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Apps, and then choose Codify - Product Bundle from the list.
  2. Go to the Settings and click on Product Bundle.
  3. From the Design section, you can customise the button style, such as the border color, text color, background color, and style in hover state, and set the number of products per row.
  4. From the Content section, you can customise the content, such as a text for the add to cart button, a text for sold out, a text for unavailable, and an error message for unavailable.
  5. Click Save.
