Codify Infotech provides Codify - Cart Limits. The App is a Shopify app that lets merchants create rules that check a cart and block checkout when a rule matches.

2Data we store about merchants
When a merchant installs the App, we store the following.

3Shopper data
The App checks rules while a shopper checks out. The check runs inside a Shopify Function on Shopify's infrastructure.
Depending on the rules a merchant creates, the Function may read the shopper's email, shipping address (country, ZIP and address lines), customer tags, login status, cart contents and language. It reads this data only at that moment, to decide whether a rule applies.
This data is not sent to us. We do not store it, log it or share it. Shopify's own privacy policy applies to how Shopify handles it.
4How we use data
We use merchant data to:
- provide and secure the App, and apply your rules;
- give you support;
- manage billing through Shopify;
- meet our legal duties.
We do not use data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell personal data.
6Retention and deletion
We keep merchant data while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, we delete your shop's sessions, rules and settings. We delete them again if Shopify sends us a shop erasure request.
We keep data only as long as needed to provide the app's functionality.
We hold no shopper data. If Shopify forwards a shopper data request or erasure request, there is nothing for us to export or delete, and we confirm that to Shopify.
7Security
We protect data with:
- HTTPS for all traffic;
- encryption at rest through our database provider;
- access limited to people who need it, with two-factor authentication on staff accounts;
- separate test and production data.
8Your rights
Merchants, and other individuals where the law gives them the right, can ask us to access, correct or delete their personal data. Email contact@codifyinfotech.com. We reply within 30 days.
If you are a shopper, please contact the merchant you bought from. We help the merchant respond.
10Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If the change is material, we tell merchants by email or in the App.
